fencing in schools

why fencing? Academic and holistic benefits

As one of the only sports to feature in every Olympic Games, many universities offer scholarships for this unique sport. Compared to mainstream sports, fencing has a great ratio of active players to available scholarships, meaning fencers have an excellent chance to secure these awards for higher education.

Fencing is an excellent workout for your whole body, developing focus, coordination, reflexes and much more. As it can be both an individual and team sport, fencing allows children to learn the importance of independence and self-learning whilst also developing vital teamwork skills as they support each other through matches.

What we offer

We offer dynamic fencing classes to both primary and secondary schools, using a combination of coach-led and independent learning to help children develop their skills in a fun, supportive environment. Our coaches have years of experience and have coached children of all levels from complete beginners to those competing on the international stage.

All our coaches are fullly DBS checked and First Aid qualified as well as being signed up to the British Fencing Coach’s Register, meaning they meet the quality standards set by our national governing body.
