Kenichi Yamamoto

Head Coach

Keni is a current Paralympic coach for team Japan and has guided many of the UK’s young fencers to the medal podium. He’s coached for some of the country’s most renowned clubs and universities over the last 10 years including Cambridge University and the Landsdowne Club.

As a competitor, Keni reached as high as the top 8 of a World Cup with a career high world ranking of 57th.

Keni loves training people of all ages and abilities, helping them to take their game to the next level, no matter how high that might be!

Louis guennou

Foil Coach

2022 BUCS Individuals National Champion, National Team Championship bronze medallist and GB Team member, Louis knows what it takes to compete at the top.

Despite his young age, Louis is already an experienced coach with 5 years of teaching under his belt.

Aya Al-Mohsin

Coach

2020 London Region Bronze medalist, Aya loves working with children to take them from their first steps all the way through to experienced young fencers. She provides valuable coaching support at competitions to help her students achieve great results whilst having fun along the way!

Erika Cserny

Coach

Erika is a 2022 Commonwealth Games silver medalist. She started fencing as a teenager in Hungary. After moving to the UK she has taken part in many competitions with numerous medal placings in epee and foil. She has three consecutive bronze medals in the National Team championships. She was also a county champion in two weapons.

Erika is an enthusiastic and dedicated coach, teaching new ideas and variations to help her students vary their techniques to confuse their opponents. She enjoys teaching beginners, children and adults alike, and helping them become proficient in fencing.
